Put Down That Book!!

That's what Momma said to me earlier...

So, I've been going to the library for a couple(probably more) weeks in row now, and I decided to go on a book dare, reading the first book of series I've been knocking;

Twilight and Harry Potter

The first Twilight book was bareable, though I hated just how much Bella thought of Edward. DISGUSTING.

Harry Potter, though, was really, really interesting. So, I'm reading the whole series now. Turns out, in my library, where the HP books are in hardback ONLY, the books get bigger and bigger with each installment.

....

YESH!!!!!

So, no crocheting has happened, though I've tried a bit of knitting.

It's waaaay too hot to work outside any. 90 degrees and predicted thunderstorm everyday this week, too.

Buuuuuut......

I got my EOG's doneee!

In thirty minutes, I might add.

It would take me a whole week in regular school. I love Homeschooling!

Talk to y'all soon.

Not Much Corcheting Lately

My crochet hook has been laying around lately while I read and work in the yard. Hopefully, I'll be able to show you pictures soon of our flower beds!

But, for now, you'll have to settle for some old photography.

(This one is my new desktop!)

Hello!

I did finish my other mysterious project!!!

Oh, you want to know what it is? Why didn't you say so!!!

This isn't quite a good picture, but It's a bathing suit cover.

Most expensive project I've ever done.

When I needed that extra ball of yarn, I decided to buy it online. And I was impatient, so I bought 2-day shipping. The shipping cost me $15. The whole thing totaled to about $30. Garh.

Lesson well learned.

My NEW Lamp

I finally finished my mystery project last week!

A cover for my new lampp!!

I think it looks great.

That's what the new thread was for. I also dug out some old 'bead jewels' that I used to collect.

And I'm working on a new project, too. It's being made with cotton yarn, and I believe that I'm out of yarn for the rest of the project...

ORDERING TIIIIIMEEEE!!!!

Today, Daddy & I watched some "Mystery Science Theater 3000" on Netflix. IT's HILARIOUS. I'm wondering why they took it off air. We watched the one when they did the commentary on the 'horror' movie called "The Killer Shrews". HILARIOUS.

Well, I better go dig out $20 and order some yarn. =)

The Best Days Of The Week Are Thursdays & Fridays

Seriously, it's true.

Yesterday, I got in some yarn for a new project. It's a bunch of thread, so I don't know if I should be calling it yarn or not... he-he.

I also got a new lamp for my room on Wednesday.

I watched highlights of the royal wedding this morning. Mainly, just the balcony kiss. Her dress was BEAUTIFUL.

And.... I found this movie trailer:

An Old Project

I pulled out that old hexagon afgan last night...

And some of my spare yarn is in its usual place... by the recliners

I didn't go and see Soul Surfer with McMonster. But, Momma, Daddy & I went the next day as a family day. We went to the bookstore, and I nearly accomplished burying my whole weekend in books! Here's the ones I bought:

Flipped, The Lemonade Crime, Chicks with Sticks (It's a Purl Thing), and Holes.

And I went to the library today. In four minutes, I had five books.

The Princesses of Barremore, Dr. Dolittle, All Shook Up, Alex Rider: Scorpia

I had another, but after two measly chapters I lost interest. Gary Paulsen may be an acclaimed writer, but if an author can't hook me in by 'Chapter Two', they've failed. Although, Anthony Horowitz (Alex Rider: Scorpia) is a really good writer. For some reason lately, I've been really into British Spy novels and all.

What's been going on with you?

'Scarf of Many Colors'

As doubed by Daddy.

What's up?

I've been busy, defiantly busy.

I'm working like mad to get and understand Math so I can get done with 7th grade...

It's hoooooooot today!

I've also been working on this, it's something that I'll use when ti gets cold again...

Momma's favorite windchime fell and broke, and this is all that's left. =(

And Sugar has been sleeping more. She's getting older, defiantly.

I also get a day off this week! I'm seeing Soul Surfer with McMonster. I can't wait to see her, it's gonna be awesome!

Well, I should be getting back to Math so I can get it done. Yikes, I'm neck-deep in trigonometry.....

Well, I should post again soon. Maybe Saturday. See you then.

Smithsonian

This weekend we headed out to the Smithsonian in Washington, DC. It was awesome.

The sole inspiration for the trip was the crochet coral reef. I took plenty of pictures:

I took a ton more, which I'll post during this week!

Bu the crochet coral reef was NOT all that we went to see!

 The Wright Flier. *GASP*

(Left to right) Daddy, Momma, and Me!

I think that this is the best picture I took there!

It was a blast going there.

I experienced a lot of new things.

Like crowds.
And riding the subway.
And crowds at the subway.
And a $40 pizza.

I'd suggest for anyone to go there, but I would suggest to go on the subway(or the metro, whichever you prefer) only to my worst enemies. It's crazy.

What did you do this weekend?

Well, while you answer that question, I'm going to pamper my feet. Let's just say that I walked more this weekend than I ever have in my entire life.

Oh, I also found out something last night!

There's gonna be a season TWO of 'An Idiot Aboard'! It's the 'Bucket List', and I can't wait!
