Christmas Traditions

We have this little Christmas tradition...

We go to Nanster's and Papa's house on Christmas Eve.

 Nanster LOVED her blanket!

I screamed when I unwrapped this. XD

My favorite PJs. =D

And then we go home, but Daddy felt so bad that we didn't exchange out gifts to each other...

SO WE DID IT THIS MORNING!!!

Momma: "OH! I love these gloves... where on earth did you find that peace sign, honey? Oh, and you even made me socks!"=-
*Later* Momma: "These socks are a bit big..."
Daddy: "Oh, don't worry, you'll grow into them."
Three of us: *Burst into laughter*

Daddy: "A Zac Brown Band hat? Thanks, Cate!"
*Later* Papa: "You know, you remind me of someone in that hat...."
Me: "Zac Brown Band?"
Papa: "Yeah!"

 Daddy: "Thanks, I love it!"

And what I wanted for Christmas!

I also got the Jeporady Wii Game, Wheel of Fortune Wii game, a couple of crochet books(pictures next post), and fun with my family!

Nanster and Papa come over on Christmas morning and we all make breakfast. =P

Merry Christmas, Everyone!

Christmas Has Found My Home!

But I have a terrible cold. I feel like some pumpkin bread Momma made with our old stove.... burnt on the outside and untouched in the middle... XP  Ah, here we go with the post anyway!

Yay! light-up-in-the-dark present! That I nearly ripped the bow off of! LOL XD

The Nativity Scene! I love putting this up every year!!

Guess who's my guest? (LOL, he's a blow-up thingy!)

I wonder what will be filling these stockings...... hmmm?

I adore this photo! It's my pretty backporch at night with all the lights!

MY shawl found itself worked on today....... WHOOPEE! LOL. XD

This was just too sweet to not show you guys.

So what are y'all doing to decorate your house? Any crochet garlands or ornaments?

Finally, Presents!

After 7 hours, four things of tape, two weeks worth of newspaper, and 5 hours of Christmas music, I finally finished wrapping the presents!

Momma's and Daddy's presents about to go into the boxes!

The last two boxes are completed!

Nanster's and Papa's blanket, about to be packed!

Boxes before wrapping....

And after! I love 'em!

Merry Christmas!

Latest Stuff

I worked a little on my blanket, just making two of the purple squares. They are my 'Special' ones because I can up with the patten. Here is the pattern:

ch 4, sl st to form a ring.

Make a granny square up to row 9.
row 9: sl st in the next two dc, ch 3, two dc in ch space, ch 2, 3 dc in same ch space, ch one, do groups of 3 dc, then one ch, 3 times. There should be four groups on the row, including the cornor group. ch 1, dc in ch space, ch 15, sl st in 2nd dc on the first row of square. ch 15, sl st into first ch of previous 15-ch. dc in ch space. continue around.

Finish it off with row 10. after fastening off, cut four 4 in. lenghts of yarn and tie the ch to the 3-dc group on row 5.

Now you have that square!

Last night I printed out a pattern for a small sock.

And here it is, finished!

Fun colors!

I've had to clean these boxes that hold my random things in my room. I found a small baby blanket!

 How cute is that?

When we went to the beach, I started picking up seashells that had large holes in them so I could turn them into cute necklaces! I finally got to it today. I tried just using one strand of this neclace stuff, but, as always, I got to crocheting the necklaces.

Cool, huh? I did an anklet, but the picture is H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E.
