Exloring, Next Time We Talk
It has been nearly two months since my last post, and nothing has been going on except trying to hie from the hot weather. We're getting ready to head out to the beach next Sunday and I can't wait.
But aside from that, here's some filler-pictures of some family adventures from the past couple of months that I've been MIA.

Lovely Pins
The other day, I got out some thread and started making some Irish Roses... and then I got the idea to make into pins. So here they are!
They are very pretty and I'm in love with them. They're currently hanging on my Pin Tab, looking mighty pretty. =)

Why Do I Have Nothing To Post About?
'Cause I've been reading!
I've been reading the entire Alex Rider series. I'm on the eighth book, Crocodile Tears.
'Cause I've watching TV!
We have been watching two different shows almost constantly for the past two weeks. Top Gear, on the BBC America channel, and The Big Bang Theory re-runs on TBS.
'Cause I've been messing around with quick-fixes!
Christmas gifts, that is. And, also, Working on a new blanket. It's the Stained Glass Window Blanket found here. My Guage is off, since I couldn't find my 5.5mm hook, so I spent all last night trying to find a way to extend the pattern. It succeeded, and when I'm done with my FIRST panel, I'll snap a picture and show y'all.
'Cause I've been messing with this little thing:
Aww, I just love Little Bit!

The Looney Toons
Cartoon Network has been showing an hour of the orginal Looney Toons everyday, so I've gotten hooked on 'em again.
I do have a favorite.

Miss Kitty is Home!
We saw her today coming home from town. She's old and skinny.
She never liked the car, so I walked to the house, calling her so she would follow me, and I eventually picked her up and brought her in. She was still scared, so we put her on the porch, gave her some food (And Rascal and Squirt).

The Pier
And finally, I end this weird saga of our vacation with more pictures.
Pictures of a pier.
A fishing pier.
Here it
is.
And, a serne one. The lights on in the middle of darkness.
Goldfish & Happily Intruding Intruders
There were these tiny little birds that romped around our site for a while. That is, until we all told Nathan to grab them and put them on the other side of the campground. But I did get some good pictures!
Okay, so they're not-so-good pictures. But, in my defense, I had on zoom and had to get down really close to get these pictures, so naturally they'd be a bit blurry.
:~:+:~:
So, we had a deck of cards accually used at the Hard Rock Hotel (courtesy of Nanster & Papa). Nathan and I played Go Fish on them, and Daddy taught us how to play Blackjack. Daddy eventually admitted that he didn't remember how to play Go Fish, so I played a round with him.
But, we(Nathan, Daddy & I) wanted to play Go Fish together... so we created......
Goldfish!
Here's how to play:
Deal each player seven cards. Dealer chooses which player goes first, or, if you can't decide, player to the left of dealer goes first.
First player asks for a card.
Let's say, four.
Any players with a four have to give the first player their card. Only one player has to hand in a card To save the first player from drawing.
If none of the players have the card, the first player has to draw cards numbering the same as the number of players.
When one player wins first place, game continues until all the players have places (second, third, etc.).
Remember: The more players, the more fun!
Here's some snapshots of our game, played with(In random games):
Me
Daddy
Nathan
My Aunt
My Uncle
Tryin' it out for the first time: Three players
Nathan laughing at Daddy's attempt to enforce Tournament Rules.
Nathan, MY Uncle, and Momma laughing at my comment: "Can we get off the politics of this game?!?!"
Shuffling...
Shuffling...
First successful four-player Goldfish game. Nathan is hiding his cards. MY Aunt's at the very right
We came up with the name, because, I inherited Nanster's way of messing up every single word I say if I try hard enough.
So, when I said Go Fish, it sounded like I was saying, Goldfish.
So, either out of pity, or just to claim that we invented a game, we called the game Goldfish.
Another post later about our fabulous vacation.
"How Many Bugs Did They Test?"
The whole conversation between Daddy & my cousin, Nathan:
Daddy: Hey Nathan, you won't believe this, but sciencist have figured out what the last things is that goes throughs a bug's mind when he hits a windshield!
Nathan: NO way! What is it?!
Daddy: His butt.
Nathan: Really? How many bugs did they test?
That made us laugh, so, so, so hard.
Yeah, we had a lot of fun. Here's some pictures of the beach!
There was a surfing dude when I was taking the first round of pictures, so I just had to snap some shots of him surfing!
I'll do another post about our vacation in a bit.

Second-Best
Okay, so I haven't felt sand between my toes yet..
But, I sat beside the pool yesterday, listened to the jet run, and dipped my toes in.
Funny thing is, we run a salt-system to chlorinate our pool, and we added too much salt, so our pool is nearly as salty as the ocean! Only without the critters, of course.
~+~
I saw this picture on Facebook today..
It was taken by the creator of iCarly, Dan Schneider.
Happy Father's Day.

Not Much Corcheting Lately
My crochet hook has been laying around lately while I read and work in the yard. Hopefully, I'll be able to show you pictures soon of our flower beds!
But, for now, you'll have to settle for some old photography.
(This one is my new desktop!)

Hello!
I did finish my other mysterious project!!!
Oh, you want to know what it is? Why didn't you say so!!!
This isn't quite a good picture, but It's a bathing suit cover.
Most expensive project I've ever done.
When I needed that extra ball of yarn, I decided to buy it online. And I was impatient, so I bought 2-day shipping. The shipping cost me $15. The whole thing totaled to about $30. Garh.
Lesson well learned.

Smithsonian
This weekend we headed out to the Smithsonian in Washington, DC. It was awesome.
The sole inspiration for the trip was the crochet coral reef. I took plenty of pictures:
I took a ton more, which I'll post during this week!
Bu the crochet coral reef was NOT all that we went to see!
The Wright Flier. *GASP*
(Left to right) Daddy, Momma, and Me! |
I think that this is the best picture I took there!
It was a blast going there.
I experienced a lot of new things.
Like crowds.
And riding the subway.
And crowds at the subway.
And a $40 pizza.
I'd suggest for anyone to go there, but I would suggest to go on the subway(or the metro, whichever you prefer) only to my worst enemies. It's crazy.
What did you do this weekend?
Well, while you answer that question, I'm going to pamper my feet. Let's just say that I walked more this weekend than I ever have in my entire life.
Oh, I also found out something last night!
There's gonna be a season TWO of 'An Idiot Aboard'! It's the 'Bucket List', and I can't wait!
