A Cowl of a Tale

So... we're back. Yep. I managed to get some photos at the beach. Here are a few of them worth showing:

Sorry they're so bad. I took them on a Kodak, not with my Canon.

I have been crocheting, too, and here's two recent projects.

Yep. Not much else. So, how've you guys been while I've been AWOL?

Pictures? Yeah, Right.

We started school back(since we can't go outside AT ALL), and now we're doing this laid-back style that's been paid for by a heavy price- a lot of arguing and facepalms. We've got it figured out, and hopefully Momma (and me) can understand all this.

Like I told Daddy last night,

"They just teach me the same stuff over and over, only beefing it up each go-round."

And, to help me keep my sanity, I decided to find ways to help me focus. I crochet hats while I read. I listen to Orchestra music while doing Math, English, etc.

I finally got Daddy's sweater planned! I ordered some(just two) cable/Aran/Celetic knitting books off of Amazon so I could study the cable and try to convert them to crochet.

I have the yarn, the idea I want of shaping, yadda yadda yadda.

I just need to know how big Daddy would like it. Hmm... Looks like I'll either be measuring Daddy himself or one of his sweatshirts.

I hope to have some pictures of my hats later on.

Talk to you soon.

Heat Wave

It's been hot like heck here, so I don't go outside during noon/afternoon/any-time-past-10-AM.

Well, out apple trees have been dropping apples, so guess who got to rake/clean them up?

I did.

It was HOT, and I just came in just a few minutes after 10.

With crocheting, I put up some of the big stuff and resorted to quick projects. It's hot, they're lighter, and I was instant results.

So what? The heat's made me inpaient.

Here are my projects from Monday to today:

Ah, I'm gonna go cook lunch. See ya later.

There's your Zac Brown Band Hat!

PS: You could also do it all in black for the hat that he wore in one performance.

Silly Kitty

Also, while we were at the beach, I made some hats!....

I tampered with my Zac Brown Band hat pattern. I'll post the fix later!

And now, here's some Tinker.

I think that this one is the most interesting picture Of Tink that I've ever taken...

Now you see him, now you don't.....

What I Acomplished Today.

Not much.

I added a green border to this Granny Square blanket. It's too narrow, but the dog loves it. =)

We re-angranged my room today. This is my door...

Chair,

And my posters on my (NEW!) bookshelf. Yeah, I love Club Penguin. XD

Books and yarn are organized now! =D

A couple weeks ago, we went to Wal*Mart and I found these two over-sized crochet hooks, 15 and 10 mm. I don't know what the English measures for them are, I find metric is easier to find which hook I need..

Anyway, Momma has been wanting a scarf made of LB Homespun. Since I'm currently in love with Tunisian crochet, I'm making the scarf Tunisian style. BTW, if you are looking for a softer, more floaty version of Red Heart's Boutique Mystic, choose LB Homespun. Best colors ever!

After we went to the Museum yesterday, we stopped by Costco. Dad said to us, "Choose any kind of sweets, and it's for Valentine's present."

We finally we by the books(My favorite part of both Sam's Club and Costco) and I found this book!! I said that it was my sweet. It's really great, and one of the harder projects I really like. But it calls for specialty yarn, and I don't know where anywhere local and within a realistic price range I'll find it... XD

Have any of you ever seen the show, "An Idiot Abroad"?

OH MY GOODNESS.

BEST SHOW.

EVER.

It's on the Science channel, and Daddy and I watch it every Saturday Night at 10 PM.

Here's a clip:

"I want him to hate it... I want him to hate every minute of it for my amusement."

Whoops....

Daddy should be working on my computer, but we haven't touched it, and something's gone wrong with the photo upload with my computer. XP

But, I'm on Daddy's computer so I can post!

Here's a scarf I made last week. I used some of my old Girl Scout Fun Patches and other patches that I've collected.

I've decided to make a hooded scarf, so here's the hood...

And this is a very bad picture of the scarf!

I made this crochet cover for a painted bottle I had in my room. We're re-decorating my room, so I made that. Next, the coke bottles! Ha ha! XD

It's been snowing like who knows what! It snowed last week, iced over, and then melted. This week, now, it's at the iced over stage. XD

And my BFF, McMonster is back on blogger! She is the girl of many nicknames... XD

Well, in other news...

MY BIRTHDAY IS FRIDAY!

It's just a subtle hint... he he lol XD

Enjoy the snow if you have any!

Christmas Traditions

We have this little Christmas tradition...

We go to Nanster's and Papa's house on Christmas Eve.

 Nanster LOVED her blanket!

I screamed when I unwrapped this. XD

My favorite PJs. =D

And then we go home, but Daddy felt so bad that we didn't exchange out gifts to each other...

SO WE DID IT THIS MORNING!!!

Momma: "OH! I love these gloves... where on earth did you find that peace sign, honey? Oh, and you even made me socks!"=-
*Later* Momma: "These socks are a bit big..."
Daddy: "Oh, don't worry, you'll grow into them."
Three of us: *Burst into laughter*

Daddy: "A Zac Brown Band hat? Thanks, Cate!"
*Later* Papa: "You know, you remind me of someone in that hat...."
Me: "Zac Brown Band?"
Papa: "Yeah!"

 Daddy: "Thanks, I love it!"

And what I wanted for Christmas!

I also got the Jeporady Wii Game, Wheel of Fortune Wii game, a couple of crochet books(pictures next post), and fun with my family!

Nanster and Papa come over on Christmas morning and we all make breakfast. =P

Merry Christmas, Everyone!
