Finally, Something Worth Blogging ABout

I've been in such an inspiration funk lately that, for the past few days, I was accutally waiting for th UPS guy. Around here, they can come as late as 5 PM. But it was worth it.

I ordered five books off of Amazon, but strangely, the order got messed up, and I only received three, while the other two haven't even shipped yet. And when they do get shipped, it will be with some of Daddy's stuff.

A really hilarious book. Full of stuff about being a crocheting and yarn.

Really interesting, though it doesn't say about the pattern if you want to, oh, say, do something Bavarian with only one color.

This one is hugely cool. I'll might just break out some regular yarn and work some of the tablecloths into beautiful blankets.

Well, while we're at the beach, I'm gonna be teaching my Aunt to crochet!

Her interest peaked when I gave her a crocheted blanket for Christmas.

It was a beautiful varied dusty red, tan, and brown granny squared blanket. It was a first-time blanket for me, since I sc'd it together instead of my wonky whipstitch. And, it was also my first time ever making flowers, which I made and sewed onto every other blanket. The flowers were an off-white-nearly-tan, and then I made smaller flowers with leftover yarn and sewed them onto the white-ish flowers. I seriously hope that you have a mental picture of it, since I don't have an accual picture of it! XD

Ever since I gave her the blanket, she's been wanting to learn, and finally we have a chance! So, I'm gonna try my best to be a lot better of a teacher than I was when I was teaching my Wed. nite class. It's only one person, so it should be easier, right??

Well, I hope that I can post soon.

I think I'll might actually start something with regular yarn in the thread book. I've got my eye on a B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L tablecloth.

Yay! New Stove!

Remember a couple of weeks ago when our stove caught fire? Well, we went a bought a new one.

More drama than just that, though.

I HAVE to cook at sometime or another, so it was absolute toture not to be abable to bake anything for two weeks. Someone at Lowe's called us and told Momma that they'd have our new stove at our house yesterday at time from 9(AM)-12(PM). Well, they never showed. At 5(PM) when Momma was reall pi$$ed, she called them and told the store manager about it. And guess what? We now have an emergency-arrived stove and a $60 gift card. Yeppers! Nothing much standing up for yourself! Check out our awesome new stove!

It's shiny!

I just finished this hat last night. I'm now just beginning the scarves that go with it. That was Momma's idea. ^_^

And tonight, I'm also standing up for myself. I ahven't posted about the crochet class June. And for a reason. NO, and I will dare to repeat NO progress on anything. ANYTHING. I'm going in tonight and giving MIss Anuh $20 and tell her:

"I'm going to take the yarn. IT has been sitting here for almost 7 months. Take this $20 as and offering, payment, whatever. I just want this yarn not to go to waste."

Good idea? Have you ever stepped out of your comfort spot for something??

Weird....

In language today, I was to write a sentence containing the verb "Teach". Before I knew it, I wrote:

"I tried to teach my friends how to crochet, but my attempts were in vain."

I wrote that before I even was thinking about the verb. Well, the statement's completely true. Only two girls took off. One is out of the hobby, and the other girl won't even talk to me....

Friends are confusing.

Oh, How Wonderful.

Niiiiiiiice, Dunise(Look on nicknames). She called on one of those 'chain voice mail' for the church. And she left a special message for my age group: 

"Friends Club, please bring your necklaces to class so we may keep them safe, and please also bring your charms that you have earned."

SERIOUSLY?!?!

This is why I absolutely HATE being a kid. EVERYONE thinks that I'm irresponsable. What am I going to do with this? Yeah, I'm going tonight, but my necklace is staying home. Chew on that, CE BOARD! MWAH HA HA! lol!

But seriously, they think that I'm irresponsible. Ehh, starch that. They think that my entire age level is irresponsible. Well, that last statement is true, excluding me. How many other 13-year-olds do you know that crochet while watching The CBS Evening News and Jeopardy and screams when someone tried to change the channels?!


When they ask me where my necklace is this is what I'm gonna say:

"I think I'm old enough to keep track of a necklace, thankyouverymuch."


But I'll think:

"Stick THAT in Dunise's complaint box, idiots! Hah!"



What's the most insulting thing that someone has done or said to you? This is in my top 100's. Go figure.

Christmas Fiddling

I've finally made Momma's stocking!

This picture was taken in complete darkness. Does it look okay?

And I made Momma a new washcloth! When I gave it to her, she said "Yay!"

I'm starting Daddy's Christmas present tomorrow, so some sneakies(lol) will be coming your way soon!!!

Anyway, I wanted to share this with you:

Teacher: Okay, Cate, what have you learned about Nerdy?(One of my friends from my Wednesday nite class)

Me: She likes to crochet, she likes the Twilight series, and she'd never rode a goat.

Teacher: That's very unprivileged. Now, Nerdy, what have you learned about Cate?

Nerdy: She likes to crochet, duh! He favorite color is lime green, and she's rode on a goat before.

Wed. Nite Crochet Class

It didn't go as well as last week's, but everyone got a good word and something like "Crocheting Homework" to work on until next week. You would like to know the number of girls, huh? 12. 12 girls, sometimes 13. This evening, we had about.... oh say..... 13-15 girls. There is one girl who has taken off with it. She's on her..... 3rd or 4th row. She keeps saying, "Cate! Cate! It's geting bigger!" I told her that the single crochet brings out the true lengh of the chain. It still was fun. Well, I did take lots of pictures, but almost none of the pictures are of the girls crocheting, so I'll show you a funny picture I took of my cat the other day. Ach, nevermind. The pictures uploading isn't working. Blah. Whatever. Bye.
