I loved this picture so much. You all just had to see it.

Crocheting, yes.

A new blanket, I should add.

More to come later.

Geeking Out, Crocheting Now

So I HAVE been crocheting! Ha-ha-HA!

I've just finished a two-part project that is both a double-first for me, and one that I can't tell you how giddy with proud I am of it! The firsts are blocking and cross-stitching, and I'm soooo happy that I didn't muck it up! I'm also proud 'cause... aw, just let me show you the pictures!!!

I made them with Super Saver in Cornmeal and Gold.

As I said, very, very, very proud.

I can't wait to see them every morning!

I'm a HG Junkie

I'm a total Hunger Games junkie....

It's so Sci-Fy, it's awesome.

So, bored out of mind on a 100+ degree day, I serched "The Hunger Games" on Raverly,

(BTW, I now have an account there!)

And I found this awesome lady who took the cover pictures and turned them into tapestry patterns.

I was even more amazed when she double up her pattern and made a

G-E-O-R-G-O-U-S

Catching Fire blanket! I just had to snag the picture and show you:

I have the pattern for it tagged, but I'm gonna have to wait until I can get enough yarn!!!

Finally, Something Worth Blogging ABout

I've been in such an inspiration funk lately that, for the past few days, I was accutally waiting for th UPS guy. Around here, they can come as late as 5 PM. But it was worth it.

I ordered five books off of Amazon, but strangely, the order got messed up, and I only received three, while the other two haven't even shipped yet. And when they do get shipped, it will be with some of Daddy's stuff.

A really hilarious book. Full of stuff about being a crocheting and yarn.

Really interesting, though it doesn't say about the pattern if you want to, oh, say, do something Bavarian with only one color.

This one is hugely cool. I'll might just break out some regular yarn and work some of the tablecloths into beautiful blankets.

:~:+:~:

Well, while we're at the beach, I'm gonna be teaching my Aunt to crochet!

Her interest peaked when I gave her a crocheted blanket for Christmas.

It was a beautiful varied dusty red, tan, and brown granny squared blanket. It was a first-time blanket for me, since I sc'd it together instead of my wonky whipstitch. And, it was also my first time ever making flowers, which I made and sewed onto every other blanket. The flowers were an off-white-nearly-tan, and then I made smaller flowers with leftover yarn and sewed them onto the white-ish flowers. I seriously hope that you have a mental picture of it, since I don't have an accual picture of it! XD

Ever since I gave her the blanket, she's been wanting to learn, and finally we have a chance! So, I'm gonna try my best to be a lot better of a teacher than I was when I was teaching my Wed. nite class. It's only one person, so it should be easier, right??

Well, I hope that I can post soon.

I think I'll might actually start something with regular yarn in the thread book. I've got my eye on a B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L tablecloth.

The Best Days Of The Week Are Thursdays & Fridays

Seriously, it's true.

Yesterday, I got in some yarn for a new project. It's a bunch of thread, so I don't know if I should be calling it yarn or not... he-he.

I also got a new lamp for my room on Wednesday.

I watched highlights of the royal wedding this morning. Mainly, just the balcony kiss. Her dress was BEAUTIFUL.

And.... I found this movie trailer:

I've been busy, defiantly busy.

I'm working like mad to get and understand Math so I can get done with 7th grade...

It's hoooooooot today!

I've also been working on this, it's something that I'll use when ti gets cold again...

Momma's favorite windchime fell and broke, and this is all that's left. =(

And Sugar has been sleeping more. She's getting older, defiantly.

I also get a day off this week! I'm seeing Soul Surfer with McMonster. I can't wait to see her, it's gonna be awesome!

Well, I should be getting back to Math so I can get it done. Yikes, I'm neck-deep in trigonometry.....

Well, I should post again soon. Maybe Saturday. See you then.

Fridge Failure and More.....

After getting a new stove yesterday,,,,

One of our fridges in the garge quit. It was 16 years old.

To clarify, we have three fridges/freezers and one stand-alone feezer. The stand-alone freezer is made in 1950. No joke. McMonster's great-grandmother owned it. I could just about time it because of the time-line of indrusty... but enough about that...

Momma and I had to clean out the old fridge. XS

But enough about THAT....

This is my latest scarf. Not much yet, but I'm still working on it. Then after this one, maybe another hat like this one....
And I shall remind you that this was my Momma's genius idea to make three hats then scarves out of the remaining yarns.
I wore this hat, my cool gloves and my purple scarf Wednesday nite and looked AWESOME!

I also took the time yesterday to clean off my dresser and redecorate it for Christmas! Check it out>>>

All of the painted stuff(pics 2-4) were painted by a family friend.

And also, my new Magazine came in!

Yessh! Everything in here is really cool and really country and I LOVE it!

On the radio, they played 'Blue Christmas' recorded by Elvis. I said to my Momma,
"Should we call Nanster?" And Momma lol'd. Nanster is a HUGE Elvis fan. Every time Elvis comes on the radio she calls me. XD I still love her anyway.

Heyy, Zac!

Ever heard of the Zac Brown Band?

Well, they're completely AWESOME! Daddy downloaded their albums to iTunes and I put them on my iPod.

Anyway, the main guy, Zac, he has a signature hat. Check it>>>>

See that guy on the farrr left? Yeah, that's him and his hat.

Here's a better one:

This one is defiantly better. I have the colors for the hat, but how soon can I make it??

Whee! We're Home!!!!

We just got in this morning! Check out some of the pictures I took!

And we also ran into the Griswolds!

Right now, you're either laughing out of your chair or opening a new tab to look them up.

There they are! They were holding up traffic in the left lane, and when Daddy said "I wish that the Griswolds would get out of the middle lane," the whole two lanes parted, and in the middle of the road was a dead dog. No kidding. Then Daddy said, "That dog's either been dragged or they just threw him out." I laughed for almost forty miles. XDDD

I made these on the trip. I loved the pattern so much I made another pair.

 Here's Momma's!

I don't think that he really cares that we're home..... lol. I left him in the same spot.
