I've not picked up my crocheting hook all weekend.
Staurday, I was too lazy to. And I read most of Saturday, too. We did finally get my computer back to working properly, and got the newer version of Linux on here, and it's awesome!
On Sunday, I got to help Daddy roll some tarps that a company he works with let him have. We had three blue ones, and nine black ones. And they were HUGE! We had to pull them onto the concrete, spread them out, let them dry(it rained like Niagara Falls here over the past week) and then fold them.
Today, nothing but school. Afterwards, I was exploring a website that I like to go to for movie news. Hookwinked 2 is coming out!
This weekend, we all had a lazy day(s). Probably some of the best days of the month. I did nothing but talk to my bestie on the phone, type, watch movies, and crochet a bit!
My temperature was normal, but I feel kinds sick.. Ah, well.
I worked some more on my doily.
Pretty Pinwheel! Ha ha. XD
I also switched between crocheting a reading this evening.. I'm re-reading the Septimus Heap series. It's that good of a book series!
Mom likes the granny blanket, even if it is too narrow!
And I finished the doily!
Momma suggested that I start a 'Hope Chest'. I remember reading about that in a book, and I kinda like the idea, since Momma has too many doilies, anyway. (They're ones that she has collected over the years.)
I added a green border to this Granny Square blanket. It's too narrow, but the dog loves it. =)
We re-angranged my room today. This is my door...
Chair,
And my posters on my (NEW!) bookshelf. Yeah, I love Club Penguin. XD
Books and yarn are organized now! =D
A couple weeks ago, we went to Wal*Mart and I found these two over-sized crochet hooks, 15 and 10 mm. I don't know what the English measures for them are, I find metric is easier to find which hook I need..
Anyway, Momma has been wanting a scarf made of LB Homespun. Since I'm currently in love with Tunisian crochet, I'm making the scarf Tunisian style. BTW, if you are looking for a softer, more floaty version of Red Heart's Boutique Mystic, choose LB Homespun. Best colors ever!
After we went to the Museum yesterday, we stopped by Costco. Dad said to us, "Choose any kind of sweets, and it's for Valentine's present."
We finally we by the books(My favorite part of both Sam's Club and Costco) and I found this book!! I said that it was my sweet. It's really great, and one of the harder projects I really like. But it calls for specialty yarn, and I don't know where anywhere local and within a realistic price range I'll find it... XD
Have any of you ever seen the show, "An Idiot Abroad"?
OH MY GOODNESS.
BEST SHOW.
EVER.
It's on the Science channel, and Daddy and I watch it every Saturday Night at 10 PM.
Here's a clip:
"I want him to hate it... I want him to hate every minute of it for my amusement."
I remember when I was in Kindergarden, and when we were reading a story, we'd say, "Dot, dot, dot.."
XD
I have made some more progress with my blanket.
I just LOVE the colors!!!! When I'm done with this, I'm gonna work some more on that Autumn blanket for Momma. It's her favorite WIP of mine....
On Saturday, my Aunt and Uncle(Momma's brother) came over and went to Greensboro. They wanted to shop at Garden Ridge... so I got a new chair for my room!
I totally love it! We had to fix it, though, since it liked to slide around. It's so comfy, I nearly fell alseep in it!
And here is a very, very, mucho-important rule to shopping in groups:
STICK WITH THE PERSON WHO HOLDS THE KEYS TO THE CAR.
And I also got a book, too. ^_^
It's a book that latches onto one of my favorite series, Septimus Heap. I finished it in two hours. *^_^*
Everyone else is chilling out, including Sugar and the Emperor. Even if he is outside. ;-)
